About this role

Agricultural Commodity Grader (Poultry) Multiple Locations Summary If selected for this position, you would be responsible for grading the full range of poultry and poultry products and/or shell egg products in the assigned commodity. Duties The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Designated contact with plant management to coordinate the grading/inspection activities. Prepare and maintains a variety of reports related to production data and grading results. Examine product to determine adherence with contracts, such as grade, weight, packing and quantity. Train selected plant personnel to grade according to U.S. standards. Grade different types of poultry and eggs, by applying official standards and regulations. Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement. Evaluation Applications will be evaluated in accordance with Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Delegated Examining Procedures and USDA policy using category rating. This means you will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement. Your qualifications will be evaluated based on your application materials (e.g., resume, supporting documents), your responses to the application questionnaire, and your responses to all assessments required for this position.
