About this role
Accountant Multiple Locations Summary This position is located in the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Chief Financial Operations Office (CFOO), Financial Management Division, (FMD). This announcement will fill multiple accounting positions in FMD. Duties Analyze a wide variety of documents, reports, policies, operations and procedures within the assigned accounting or financial management area. Prepare regular recurring transactions and reports related to accounting practices. Review incoming, outgoing, and summary financial reports to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of financial operations and financial reports. Review internal controls and prepare audit deliverables per the operating procedures. Perform general ledger analysis, reconciliations, including GTAS, ULO certifications, and variance analysis. Support and monitor accounting obligations and payments including program payments, vendor payments, easement payments, lease transactions, and other agency expenditures. Apply strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and writing aptitude to produce accurate work and communicate clearly with stakeholders. Education College Transcript: If qualifying based on education, you must submit a copy of your college transcript with course number and department (i.e., Bio 101, Math 210, etc.), course title, number of credit hours, and grade earned. If a relevant course is not clearly qualifying (e.g., special topic, seminar, research, thesis, obscure or misleading course title, etc.), please submit an official course syllabi and/or detailed course description from the university/college to ensure proper evaluation.
