About this role
Investment Analyst Cleveland, OH, United States #LI-OD1 #LI-Hybrid Essential Functions and Primary Duties Manage projects related to the investment selection and monitoring in support of clients Perform investment research, compilation, review, and analysis of information to aid in decision making Gather data and analyze different investment managers' investment styles and portfolio characteristics and impact on investment performance Closely examine and monitor developments in investment management firms Perform due diligence and write commentaries/memo on investment managers Perform investment assessment and analysis for the entry and removal of preferred fund lists Cover asset class for preferred fund list Perform quarterly investment economic analysis and review economic and market trends regularly Assist with and complete strategic projects on a quarterly basis (mainly related to investment analysis) Produce reports using investment software programs such as Morningstar Direct and eVestment Perform special investment research as required due to marketplace developments and/or CBIZ research initiatives Write educational white papers as needed Additional responsibilities as assigned Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or other areas that contain strong analytical course content At least three years of professional investment experience Possesses comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures Possesses comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and professional standards Proficient use of applicable technology Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype) Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills Passed at least level I of the CFA test.
