Job Summary and Responsibilities This role involves advanced histologic techniques to prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination, aiding pathologists in disease diagnosis. Key responsibilities include receiving and preparing biological materials using accepted histological methods like labeling, fixation, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping. The position requires preparing and evaluating necessary stains, reagents, and solutions according to established procedures. A critical aspect of the role is the ability to independently assess and determine appropriate handling and processing methods for specimens, including complex and difficult samples.
