About this role

Welder & Fabricator (Grade 9 - 6:00am - 6:30pm; every other weekend required.) Job Location (country) Summary Welders are responsible for the timely welding, fitting, fabrication and finishing duties in the food and beverage industry. This position will require the employee to have advanced experience and skills with precision welding of various materials including in-place welding of thin-walled stainless steel tubing systems. This position will manage small projects and will also function as a team member of larger projects. This position may be subject to long hours at times to meet scheduled due dates. We are looking for an employee who wants to build a career and grow with our company. Welders must follow all established safety, GMP's and environmental standards and adhere to all plant technical standards. Welders must also follow all federal, state, local and company regulations including OSHA, FDA, EPA and SQF. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product. Responsibilities Read and interpret project plans, P&ID's, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams Perform MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needs Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions Coordinate with other team members for efficient installations De-bur and grind metal as needed to achieve proper surface texture Respond to maintenance calls and work orders promptly with a teaching mentality and positive demeanor.
