About this role

Machine Operator Job Location (country) The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment within the packaging department. This includes but is not limited to labelers, scales and conveyors. Prior Experience in Machine Operation is a requirement. The ideal candidate will complete all job duties with safety and efficiency in mind. This position requires documentation of material usage, product waste and weight control. The ideal candidate should be able to operate, adjust and troubleshoot machinery as needed. 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned Set up, calibrate and clean equipment to ensure proper startup for production cycles. Control and adjust machine settings (speed, temperature, pack sizes) and programs. Troubleshoot machine related issues that occur during production. Maintain activity logs pertaining to overall equipment efficiency. Perform routine inspections of equipment (Vertical Form, Fill & Seal, Cartoner and Labeler machines) Ensure the proper packaging materials are being used for the correct products. Visually inspect all packaged materials for damage and printing defects. Visually inspect all products for foreign materials and other food safety concerns. Communicate changes in production, equipment malfunctions, material shortages, etc to Supervisors and Managers Develop a strong working knowledge of packing processes and machine operating in order to meet production goals and minimize cost downt
