About this role
Director, Associate General Counsel, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI San Francisco, CA, USA About the Role Chime is looking for an Director, Associate General Counsel to lead our Privacy & Security team. The Director will work cross-functionally with marketing, security, engineering, product, data, and member support teams to manage Chime's privacy program in compliance with applicable privacy and data security laws and regulations. The Associate General Counsel will also play a key role in Chime's AI governance program. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $264,000 and up to $345,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to - Advise teams on privacy laws, with a particular emphasis on financial privacy - Take the lead in maintaining Chime's privacy program to ensure it meets evolving regulatory expectations - Work cross-functionally to develop and help manage privacy impact assessments and ensure that privacy by design is embedded in everything Chime does - Work collaboratively with product counsel to advise on privacy aspects of product design - Develop and conduct both general and role-specific privacy trainings - Support Chime's security team, including by supporting scenario planning exercises and advising on reportability of incidents to the extent they arise - Stay abreast of regulatory and industry trends in privacy and security laws, including new regimes and requirements that may
