About this role
Senior Environmental Planning Project Manager - Transportation CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with extensive previous experience managing environmental management and/or planning projects to join and help lead our growing West Transportation Group. In this position, you will play a significant role in the management of complex environmental reviews and compliance related projects for major transportation agencies in the Western United States. You will manage multi-disciplined project teams, develop more junior staff, prepare and manage the scope and budget for transportation projects, and assist with marketing and business development activities. As a member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: • Managing transportation related environmental compliance and planning projects, which may include overseeing: preparation of SEPA and/or NEPA documents; performance of specialized environmental studies; performance of environmental due diligence, assessments, investigations, and remedial activities; and evaluation of environmental permitting and compliance. • Overseeing and participating in project teams to performs technical calculations, modeling, data analysis, designs, and on-site field evaluations. • Providing an understanding of local, State, and national environmental regulations. • Creating project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects. • Preparing detailed statements of work with associated work breakdown structures and gains concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders regarding various project aspects. • Assessing potential project risk and outlines risk mitigation solutions. • Ensuring adherence to company and project management policies, procedures and practices. • Managing project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability. • Creating
