About this role
Intermediate Infrastructure Specialist Supports the planning and implementation of enterprise server, storage, and application infrastructure projects including installations, modifications, and upgrades. Research best practices and collaborates with internal resources to propose and implement optimal designs for different physical, virtual, and cloud platforms. Advises on the development and management of internal systems to achieve proper security, network, availability, optimal storage capability, and other functionality. Performs automation of workloads to improve performance, reduce costs, reduce maintenance of servers and storage devices, and to help improve self-service capabilities. Develops scripts across various physical, virtual, and cloud platforms to, for example, improve the consistency of infrastructure systems, monitor for and respond to routine issues, maintain healthy backups of data, and other automation functions. Monitor's server, storage, and application performance, tracks metrics, and collects and analyzes logs. Remediates problem situations as needed. May escalate some cloud-based problems. Maintains detailed documentation of physical, virtual, and cloud-based enterprise technology, server, storage, application, and security best practices. Performs other duties as required.
