Actuarial Consultant Scottsdale, AZ, United States #LI-HW1 #LI-Hybrid Essential Functions and Primary Duties Facilitates client meetings, client presentations and internal team meetings Independently determines methodologies and approach for project Lead the development of client deliverables including written documents Manage timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.) Ensures all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review Actively communicates project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members) Act as a resource for support staff Supports business development activities Hybrid work schedule available for local candidates and remote work available for candidates residing outside of the Phoenix area Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in related field, or an internship 1-3 years of relevant experience in a professional environment performing actuarial, data, financial or health care related analyses and consulting Achieve professional certifications relative to area of expertise, and preserve required licenses Thorough understanding of health care delivery, with emphasis on Medicaid Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Expertise using Microsoft Office suite Presentation skills Proficient use of applicable technology Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally Ability to communicate, present findings, and recommendations to other team members in a clear format Ability to comprehend, manipulate, and interpret statistical data Ability to travel based on client and business needs Experience working within a team environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree
