Operations Management Trainee Westbrook, ME, US Position Summary The Operations Management Trainee participates in a training program designed to develop individuals into frontline manager roles. As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will learn the responsibilities and functions performed by an Operations Manager through on-the-job training. This training program lasts 12 months and will prepare you to effectively handle the day-to-day operations at a Casella division. Successful completion of this program will result in a management position in operations at a division within Eastern Region our business footprint which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Key Responsibilities Learns how to perform ongoing operational analysis to maximize the utilization of company resources, operate too maximum efficiencies, and asset utilization. Gains and understanding of DOT & OSHA safety programs and systems, operational business processes, systems & tools, performance, management, and maintenance processes. Grasps how to drive change management initiatives to introduce and sustain new processes that contribute to the growth and durability of the operations of the business unit. Collaborates with all frontline managers to learn and assist in the day-to-day business operations. Becomes well versed in the processes of screening, interviewing, and conducting reference and background checks on candidates.
