About this role
Accuracy Control Analyst/Spec/Sr Groton, CT, US Overview The successful candidate will join the Accuracy Control and Optical Tool. The group supports construction at the Groton Shipyard, a dynamic and fast paced environment requiring prompt and technically sound dimensional control solutions. This team is responsible for; all phases of the dimensional control process, defining shipbuilding dimensional control requirements, planning jobs and their execution, processing and presenting as-built data, and continuously improving processes. Senior Accuracy Control Analysts are responsible for executing accuracy control processes for submarine construction. Primary duties include: Develop and revise dimensional control documents and procedures Save and manage records for digital and physical resources Support supervisor in systems management and records responsibilities Create best practice documentation Instruct coworkers on company processes Close out open accuracy control requirements Mentor and provide backup support for new AC analysts Generate and manage OTARS (Optical Tool Alignment Reports) Manage revision requests and coordinate data sheet updates Review planning and construction schedules to address emergent work Support engineering and metrology technicians in surveying and processing routine and emergent projects Maintainand update various spreadsheets, databases and lists Good interpersonal and communication skills will assist a successful candidate as they will routinely interface with; Management, Accuracy Control
