Offsite Warehouse Quality Engineer II/III (Portland, ME) Portland, ME, US Job Description Become a part of the "Bath-Built is Best-Built" tradition. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who has a positive attitude. This role focuses on incoming material inspection, kitting verification, supplier material quality, and driving continuous improvement within warehouse processes. This role is embedded in warehouse operations to ensure materials moving to production maintain compliance with the ISO 9001 standard which is a key requirement for building ships for the US Navy. Key Responsibilities Warehouse: Material Inspection Inspection of materials within warehouse operations to verify compliance with applicable specifications Kitting Verification Verification of outgoing kitting items to ensure quality product and timely delivery Supplier Material Quality Ensuring that supplier material meets the specifications, communicating with suppliers that have issues, and implementing problem resolution for material. Safety Leadership: Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation. Ensure practices/processes are safely executed. Communicate safety concerns and model safe behaviors. Project Execution: Utilize BIW's business operating system (BOS) to execute work and communicate progress daily. Quality Management: Participate in the multitude of roles that quality Engineering takes on to ensure products meet the customers' requirements.
