Job Summary and Responsibilities Behavioral Health Specialist - West Broadway clinic - Council Bluffs, IA As our Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients and their families feel supported and informed throughout their clinic experience. You will collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the delivery of impactful and comprehensive treatment plans for our patients. To be successful in this role, you must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients and their families. This foundation will be crucial for creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. Assists the primary care physicians in recognizing, treating and managing mental health, substance use and psychosocial issues. Contribute and participate as a member of the primary care team. Provide consultation and education/training to the primary care providers and staff to enhance their skill and effectiveness in treating mental health problems. Provide brief, focused interventions for clients in need of mental health and substance use services within the primary care setting.
