Category Manager Additional Posting Location(s) Malaysia-Penang Purpose Statement: The primary responsibility of this position is to identify, develop and manage suitable material & component suppliers in the Asia Region for the Plastics, Resin, and Chemicals (PRC) Categories. Works collaboratively with functional leads in Supplier Engineering and Supplier Quality to develop and implement sourcing strategies for the region. Ensures appropriate controls, oversight, and risk management are in place for supplier management. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and service performance to drive sustainable competitive advantage. Continuously gather and disseminate market intelligence on suppliers, materials, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making. Conduct supplier benchmarking to identify best-in-class opportunities and elevate supply base performance. Identify, evaluate, and track potential suppliers, maintaining records of those selected for development and those removed from consideration. Facilitate the onboarding process for new suppliers by supporting relevant functional teams and ensuring seamless integration. Negotiate terms and conditions with selected suppliers and execute Master Supply Agreements to formalize partnerships.
