Job Summary: The Accountant/Payroll role supports the Director of Accounting and Senior Accountants in the Accounting function for Alpha Wire. They assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and provide backup support for payroll processing. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and contributes to audit and internal control processes. Responsibilities: Complete month-end close tasks, prepare financial reports, and maintain account reconciliations Process weekly payroll and provide payroll analysis when needed Prepare standard journal entries and support financial accuracy through variance analysis Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing required documentation Contribute to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including month-end close, reconciliations, and payroll processing Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills to work with the accounting team and cross-functional partners
