About this role
Pipefitter (Grades 4 - 6) Bath, ME, US Job Description The pay range for this position ranges from $28.39/hr - $29.48/hr. This is an mid-level position performing pipefitting processes such as fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of ship piping systems, including associated hangers, which are either welded, brazed, or mechanically joined. These processes may be performed in all areas of the shipyard including shipboard as well as various production buildings. Hires to this position may be assigned to perform any Pipefitter tasks. A physical job task analysis is available at the time of interview. Required/Preferred Education/Training Required: 1 or more of the following:- 1-2 years pipefitting or plumbing experience- Mechanical trade background with more than 1 year of training- Vocational or Trades School certificate Preferred: - High School Diploma or GED. Required/Preferred Experience Required: - Basic knowledge in blueprint reading and ability to follow written instructions.- Must meet the requirements of the physical task analysis. Preferred: - Previous marine pipefitting experience, including use of associated hand tools.
