GDB/Z - SAP Datasphere Platform Engineer (m/f/d) Country / Location India SAP Datasphere Platform Engineer OrgCode: GDB/Z Product Team: Data Fundation Responsibilities: Role Purpose: Responsible for designing, implementing, and enabling the SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP Datasphere) platform as the enterprise foundation for modern, business driven data architecture. The role bridges architecture, engineering, and enablement - ensuring both reliable technical operations and broad business adoption across domains. Design, implement, and maintain the overall SAP Datasphere platform architecture. Establish data domain-driven and data product-based design principles. Integrate SAP (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) and non-SAP data sources (Azure, APIs) via ODP, SDI, or native connectors Build and optimize data pipelines, semantic models, and analytical datasets. Ensure robust data governance, access control, and security configuration. Lead platform evolution towards a federated, business data fabric model. Collaborate with enterprise architects, product family architects, data governance, SAP- and cloud infrastructure teams. Develop enablement strategies, best practices, and onboarding frameworks for data domain teams. Conduct training, create documentation, and foster community of practice for self-service use cases. Monitor platform performance, manage incidents, and ensure system reliability. Drive continuous improvement through automation (CI/CD, DevOps for data) and usage analytics.
