The Senior Manager, Investment Oversight contributes to the oversight of all assets under management for Scotiabank's Canadian Asset Management arm as well as supporting oversight efforts for Scotiabank's international asset management companies. They will work with a team of professionals and present results and findings to committees and senior executives, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. In this role you will: Provide strategic and tactical direction for the oversight of all investment products offered through 1832 Asset Management and its portfolio advisors, with direct accountability to senior management, Investment Committee and the Independent Review Committee including: Overseeing the management of investment mandates and investment advisory agreements for all products and their portfolio advisors Ongoing portfolio advisor due diligence regarding hiring/on-boarding and terminations/off-boarding Providing expertise in recommending competitive positioning among industry peers of all investment products (internal and third-party) Providing investment oversight for International Asset Management for their international/offshore mutual funds, including performance monitoring, portfolio advisor due dil
