The role: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Translation Services, the Manager of this unit is responsible for the French translation of materials supporting the bank's business. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: In collaboration with the Translation Project Specialist, the Manager of this unit assigns work to appropriate resources, which includes the following tasks: Prioritizes projects and identifies appropriate resources, in-house Translators and\or external vendors. Maximizes in-house capacity to ensure most efficient use of resources. Coordinates timelines on an on-going basis with internal partners. Negotiates deadlines with external vendors. Prepares for the translation assignment by communicating with the requestor to obtain further information about the request when all relevant details are not provided. Revises texts translated by unit employees and external providers to ensure the quality and accuracy of the text. Translates occasionally when specific situations require it. Provides ongoing training and coaching to employees supervised. Assesses their performance and escalates any performance\HR issue to Senior Manager. Contributes to maintaining a pleasant work environment in the department. Contributes to the smooth operation of the department by properly following the established administrative procedures: timely follow-up
