We're searching for a Software Engineer to join our Behavior Planning Team! In this role, you will - Develop real-time algorithms for selecting safe and comfortable trajectories for a self-driving vehicle - Design and implement production-grade software for the Aurora Driver - Analyze large-scale real-world data to train and evaluate machine learning models and improve data pipelines supporting algorithm development. - Design metric suites and testing workflows for rapid iteration on algorithms Required Qualifications - BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related field - 4+ years of applied industry experience programming and designing software in C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments - Experience in designing, building, and productionizing motion planning algorithms (cost function design, optimization and sampling-based
