Regulatory Engineer US - Remote AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview We are seeking a Regulatory Engineer with a strong background in wireless or mobile technologies to support and advance our regulatory initiatives. This role involves preparing technical documentation, engaging with regulatory bodies including seeking regulatory authorizations, and advocating for technical rules that align with the organization's strategic goals in satellite and telecommunications across the globe in domestic and international bodies. Key Responsibilities Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field. Experience: Three to eight years of experience in technology, with a focus on wireless technologies. Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated interest in wireless technology. - Knowledge of regional technology and policy issues for wireless and/or satellite companies - Technical expertise in satellite link budgets, mobile device standards, and wireless technologies - Understanding of spectrum and industry practices in wireless or satellite communications - Interest and/or experience working with regulators, policymakers, and government agencies - Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time Soft Skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams - Excellent written and verbal communication
