About this role

Quality Supervisor Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the hardware that powers our satellite constellation. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day quality operations across production and integration activities, ensuring materials, assemblies, and finished systems meet strict quality standards required for spaceflight. The Quality Supervisor will lead a team of inspectors and quality technicians, overseeing incoming, in-process, and final inspections while working closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure hardware is built correctly, efficiently, and to the highest reliability standards. Key Responsibilities - Supervise daily quality operations including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of hardware and assemblies. - Ensure materials, components, and finished products meet engineering specifications, workmanship standards, and quality requirements. - Lead and develop a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing direction, coaching, and performance management. - Monitor quality performance metrics and ensure production hardware meets required quality and delivery expectations. - Partner closely with engineering, production, and operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues impacting production or hardware
