Composite Buyer Midland, Texas, United States AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Mechanical Buyer - Composites is responsible for the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management of composite materials, mechanical components, tooling, and related manufacturing consumables required to support AST SpaceMobile's production operations in Midland, Texas. This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted supply, cost competitiveness, quality compliance, and on-time delivery from both domestic and international suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong procurement experience in composite materials and mechanical assemblies, excellent supplier negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement activities in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
