Maintenance Apprentice State/ Province Pennsylvania | Job Search Country United States Maintenance Apprentice Fully qualified candidates from $29.24/hr with opportunity to progress Electrical or Mechanical Armstrong World Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Apprentice to support manufacturing operations at our plant in Marietta, PA. The plant manufactures mineral fiber ceiling tiles in a 24/7 fast paced environment. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the plant meets its key performance metrics and goals for safety, quality, throughput, delivery and cost. Must be able to work shifts including nights and weekends. The Apprenticeship is defined as the following: A Four-year Electrical or Mechanical program (576 hours consisting of both classroom and 2000 hours of OTJ training). 576 hours of classroom training will be through a local recognized program and will be on the apprentice's personal time. The OJT training will be rotating assignments throughout the maintenance department. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and systems. You will work with operators, mechanics, electricians and engineers to solve manufacturing problems. Specific job duties include: Assemble, install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment as necessary. Diagnose and correct mechanical malfunctions so as to maintain equipment in a state of operating effectiveness and to meet production requirements Work on mechanical equipment such as powered conveyors,
