Quality Automation Engineer, Rights & Pricing- Partner Onboarding Business Cupertino, United States of America The Rights & Pricing engineering team provides the Apple Services platform for distribution rights by country, calculation and management of prices including retail, offers, wholesale, and tax. Rights & Pricing also includes Partner Onboarding which encompasses the vendor application process, signing of digital contracts, collection of bank account and tax information, and business systems that manage the presentation layers of payments, invoicing, and financial reporting. We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about building scalable automation frameworks, improving product quality, and leveraging AI to accelerate testing. This role requires strong coding skills, deep understanding of test automation, and the ability to work closely with engineering and product teams to enable a shift-left, automation-first quality strategy. Provides IC leadership by shaping automation standards and driving cross-functional quality decisions Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks with reliable, reusable test suites using modern tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, REST clients) and clean code in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and advocate for shift-left testing, including pre-merge validation and automation gating Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, and integration layers, including test data strategies for complex systems Debug failures, improve test stability and flakiness, and optimize test execution performance Contribute to test infrastructure, shared libraries, and utilities while reviewing automation and product code to uphold quality standards Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs, code assistants,
