Spindle Assembler Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite Role Summary AMETEK Precitech Inc., a global leader in ultra-precision machining solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Spindle Assembler to join our high-performance team on second shift. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and calibrating ultra-precision air-bearing spindles used in advanced manufacturing systems. What you'll be doing Assemble high-precision spindle components using detailed engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics. Operate ultra-precision diamond turning machines and surface grinders to match fit spindle components. Perform mechanical and electrical sub-assembly, including bearing installation, rotor balancing, and wiring. Conduct functional testing and calibration of spindles to meet stringent performance specifications. Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to verify tolerances and alignment. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, test results, and quality checks. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement. Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
