Senior Mechanical Engineer Work Location (Country) United States | Remote/Onsite Onsite AMETEK SFMS is looking for a highly collaborative problem-solver with a natural curiosity about mechanical and electrical devices to join us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Wilmington, MA facility. This position will specialize in the development of aerospace components with a specialty in pressure sensors. We are seeking a self-starter with mechanical design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment who possesses excellent technical and project management capabilities. This individual will join a global, multi-site business unit that designs and manufactures highly engineered sensors and fluid management systems for aerospace applications. Key Responsibilities: Position is for a success-oriented individual with demonstrated experience in the design, manufacture, test & certification of electromechanical sensing devices such as Pressure Sensors, RTD's, Thermocouples, Speed Sensors, and Cables. Will develop new technologies to sustain competitive advantage while working within a multidisciplined team environment. Create 3D models utilizing SolidWorks, specifying materials and assembly methods. Create and issue technical documentation to support new and existing product designs. This includes, but is not limited to design reports, FMEA's, test procedures, and test reports. Perform Structural, Thermal, Fatigue, and Dimensional Analyses using both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis methods. Review customer and industry specifications in support of th
