Ameresco is seeking an experienced Senior Power Engineer to support the development and execution of advanced thermal power generation projects across our energy infrastructure portfolio. This role will play a critical part in shaping project concepts, evaluating technology options, and supporting detailed engineering and construction readiness for power plants that support industrial, utility-scale, and behind-the-meter customers. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across multiple thermal prime movers-including reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE), combustion gas turbines, combined cycle power plants, and fuel cells-and is comfortable interfacing with customers, internal development teams, OEMs, and third-party engineering firms. Responsibilities: Support project development teams by translating customer objectives into technically sound and constructible power plant concepts Lead or support technology selection and configuration for thermal generation assets, including: Reciprocating engine plants Simple-cycle and combined-cycle gas turbine
