About this role

Systems Development Engineer, Amazon Leo Bellevue, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed. In this role you will be a key member of the team providing the tools and systems needed to design, build, and operate the organization's services. You will own and operate infrastructure critical to Amazon Leo including engineering applications, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, and local servers. Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills and has a successful track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. Key job responsibilities - Design build and maintain infrastructure as code for our hybrid-cloud Siemens engineering applications - Monitor system performance, ensuring uptime, scalability, and reliability of applications and Infrastructure - Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs to support organizational growth. - Day to day support of existing Siemens applications on AWS and on-premise
