Our documentation team plays a vital role in providing thought leadership internally to protect and improve Developer Success. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by working with a talented technical team to advocate for the needs of developers, architect scalable content solutions, and deliver high-quality technical documentation for Amazon Stores. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a technical background that enables them to collaborate effectively with Software Engineers, Solutions Architects, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers. You bring strong writing fundamentals alongside a strategic mindset about content architecture, information design, and how AI is fundamentally reshaping the technical writing discipline. As generative AI transforms how documentation is created, reviewed, maintained, and consumed, we are looking for a senior writer who actively drives this evolution and champions scalable, AI-augmented content workflows that multiply team impact. Key job responsibilities - Develop content strategies and scalable documentation solutions through close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across engineering, product, and solutions architecture - Architect content frameworks that enable self-service experiences for both internal builders and external developers - Flexibly alternate between content creation, content strategy, planning, project management, and editing tasks across a variety of technical content solutions - Author content in accordance with established style guides and proactively
