About this role
Sr. Technical Program Manager, Amazon Leo - OISL Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. -Role in Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) team within Amazon's Leo organization - Lead strategic intiatives for OISL team in delivering cross-functional programs for space-based optical communication systems. - Drive Rythem of Buisness for OISL team - Manage complex stakeholder relationships with senior leadership, finance, and engineering teams - ensure 100% delivery against critical satellite milestones-from prototyping through production to on-orbit operations. Key job responsibilities -Drive OP1 planning and execution processes across multiple cross-functional teams -Manage complex budget tracking - Research and provide trade analysis for infrastracture investments -Implement and sustain Amazon's Working Backwards methodology (PR/FAQ, MBR/QBR cadence, written narratives) adapted for hardware development cycles Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team In this role, you'll start your day reviewing program metrics across the OISL portfolio using Confluence, Jira, and Smartsheet dashboards tracking 35-70 KPIs.
