About this role
Sr Manager, Specialist Solutions Architecture, UKI Area Specialist Team (AST) London, England, GBR Are you passionate about leading deep technical expertise at the intersection of customer impact and organisational scale? Do you want to define how AWS accelerates customer adoption across domains like data, migrations, and security - through hands-on customer engagement, scalable mechanisms, and a high-performing team of specialist solutions architects? This is a highly visible, customer-facing leadership role that will shape how AWS builds specialist capability and earns trust with customers across key UKI industries including financial services, retail, media, and the public sector. As a Senior Manager, Specialist Solutions Architecture, you will lead a team of Specialist Solutions Architects aligned to multiple technical domains. You will act as a strategic business partner to the Head of Specialists UKI - co-owning the specialist strategy, shaping investment priorities, and translating field signals into action. This is not a back-office leadership role: you will maintain your own technical depth and direct customer engagement, modelling the standard you expect from your team. Your team earns trust with customers by going deep - understanding their industries, their constraints, and their ambitions - and translating that understanding into architectures that accelerate outcomes. You will build the culture, hiring bar, and mechanisms that ensure every customer interaction reinforces AWS's position as a long-term trusted technical partner. You will define and optimise scalable acceleration mechanisms that allow the team to operate as a force multiplier across the broader field organisation and partner network. You will
