About this role
Sr. Ground Systems Engineer , Leo Ground Systems Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Have you ever wanted to develop ground systems and related products for a high-performance satellite constellation? We are looking for a Ground Systems Engineer to participate in the technical definition, development, integration, test, production, and deployment of Leo ground systems. These systems include state of the art full motion tracking antennas, modems, and innovative supporting systems. Key job responsibilities - Define, develop, and provide Radio Frequency (RF) technical oversight for integrated terminal products and solutions for gateways and tracking, telemetry, and control systems, working with both internal teams and suppliers. - Develop solutions to demanding design problems enabling Amazon to fully realize Leo connectivity products. - Support conducting in-depth design reviews including preparing design review documentation and artifacts, and reviewing design materials. - Develop RF architecture, specifications, requirements, and designs and perform analyses, prepare documentation, and conduct presentations for parabolic LEO tracking TT&C and Gateway Terminal systems. - Possess Subject Matter Expertise in developing RF hardware equipment and modem products for integration into Ground Gateway and TT&C terminals. - Assist development of verification and validation plans and philosophies to ensure our products meet technical, functional, performance, and business requirements across teams and suppliers - Assist in the development of gateway monitoring and control systems and methodologies, including operational and fault
