Software Develpment Engineer II, Physical Stores Payments Bengaluru, Karnataka, IND The Physical Stores Payment team at Amazon is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to help build the future of retail payments. Our team builds innovative payment solutions behind innovative experiences like Just Walk Out technology, where AI, computer vision, and sophisticated payment systems work in harmony to enable friction-less shopping. We're not just processing transactions - we're reimagining how payments work in physical spaces across Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and other retail formats that are transforming the way people shop. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be developing next-generation payment technologies, working on everything from cloud-enabled services to on-device payment solutions. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with innovative retail technologies, including our latest experiments into generative AI for predictive payment patterns and systems that autonomously handle complex payment scenarios in physical spaces. Our team is building new approaches to payment acceptance, processor integrations, and risk management that are entirely new in the industry. You'll join a team of experienced Engineers who are constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in physical retail. Whether you're building systems that process millions of transactions, developing new payment experiences that feel like magic to customers, or experimenting with autonomous payment agents that can adapt to real-world scenarios, you'll be working on technology that directly shapes the future of retail. This role offers unique opportunities to solve complex technical challenges while working with some of the most sophisticated payment and Automation systems
