About this role
Software Development Engineer, Secure Channel Systems Seattle, Washington, USA As a Software Development Engineer focused on building secure channel solutions for AWS foundational services, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing highly secure, scalable, and performant communication channels for diverse AWS offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to implement robust encryption in transit mechanisms to protect data in transit, ensuring the end-to-end security of customer information. You will collaborate closely SDEs across AWS services, as well as security teams and program managers, to build solutions that address complex security challenges, constantly working to optimize and harden our secure channels to meet evolving compliance and regulatory requirements. Throughout this process, you will demonstrate your experience as a software engineer with a focus on building secure distributed systems. You may bring a deep understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure communication protocols, such as TLS and QUIC, or you may be excited to learn more about these topics. Your proficiency in programming languages like Rust or Java will be instrumental in your success. You bring a strong customer focus to your work, ensuring that the solutions you build will be easy to adopt and operate. Your strong problem-solving skills and your capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment will make you a valuable part of the team. In this role, you will collaborate with customers and peers to define the solutions that you build. You will mentor more junior teammates, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help
