About this role

Software Development Engineer, Lep Telemetry and Command Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Are you passionate about developing mission-critical software systems? As part of the Atlas team, you'll build and maintain the backbone software infrastructure that powers our entire organization. Your work will include: - Creating systems and services for ingesting, processing, and visualizing vast amounts of satellite telemetry data - Building real-time monitoring systems to identify anomalies, detect emerging trends, and proactively alert stakeholders to critical situations that require intervention - Ensuring extremely high reliability, uptime, and performance across systems that receive and manage telemetry streams from thousands of endpoint The systems we build serve a fundamental role in the successful functioning of the satellite constellation, and several supporting teams. They depend on us to have mission-critical reliability, uptime, and performance. Key job responsibilities - Develop software systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements. - Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Leo. - Help on-board new team members. - Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build high-available software services.
