Amazon Robotics is seeking an Senior Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer with deep expertise in low-level control theory and actuator systems to lead the design and integration of control systems for complex robotic platforms. Key job responsibilities Design and analyze control systems for robotic actuators and manipulators, including impedance control, force control, and advanced motion control strategies Build mathematical models of actuator systems in MATLAB/Simulink to predict performance, conduct trade studies, and validate control approaches Develop control architecture and analyze system stability, bandwidth, and performance Design filters, observers, and signal processing algorithms to address real-world limitations such as sensor noise, bandwidth constraints, backlash, and actuator saturation Lead cross-functional design integration across mechanical (motors, gearboxes),
