About this role

Senior Financial Analyst, Global Risk Management and Claims Seattle, Washington, USA Global Risk Management and Claims (GRMC), a branch of Treasury & Risk Management, oversees Amazon's sophisticated, global insurance programs. GRMC's scope encompasses critical insurance programs that protect Amazon's operations across all businesses and regions worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the GRMC Controllership & Compliance team. This role interfaces with stakeholders across GRMC, Finance, Accounting and Tax teams. Key job responsibilities • Manage month end financials, tax filings, and management reporting • Provide guidance and variance analysis to peer finance teams • Drive automation of manual processes • Build planning and forecasting for GRMC's annual insurance policy renewal cycles • Develop reporting and dashboards for leadership decision making • Maintain and communicate allocation methodologies Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
