About this role
Senior Accounting Analyst, Finance operations Accounting & Analysis Heredia, Heredia, CRI The Senior Accounting Analyst responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper review of account balances for Amazon, preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations and balance sheet analysis. This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies. On the audit front, Senior Staff accountant will manage department's response to internal and external audit requirements and will ensure compliance with SOX requirements for all geographies/activities handled by Shared Services. This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements. The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of our customers. Key job responsibilities · Performing month end activities that include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis. · Ensure proper review of account balances for Amazon and highlight the issues appropriately · Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended · Provide response to internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with Sox requirements for all geographies/activities · Resolve complex accounting issues and implement process controls · Drive process improvements required to enhance controls and quality of reconciliations and related processes · Build and monitor performance metrics, with principal focus on ensuring timely delivery of month end reports, reconciliations
