About this role
Security & Loss Prevention Specialist, BR Security & Loss Prevention Cajamar, Sao Paulo, BRA The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key hourly associate position within Amazon Operations. To keep our 24/7 operations network secure and ensure operational continuity, we are looking for hands-on, detail-oriented professionals to join our team. The LPS leads the effort to efficiently and effectively protect people, product, and data (lives, physical property, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property) in a designated building. The LPS reports to the Security and Loss Prevention Cluster Manager responsible for their geographical area and supports the Operational team and cross-functional teams throughout the organization. This position is site-based; however, it may require supporting multiple business units with local travel up to 25%. Key job responsibilities - Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents - Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement, data protection, physical security infrastructure) and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards - Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to area are fulfilled; - Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency; - Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies, and the department's performance - Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices by engaging and resolving issues with internal and external partners - Serve
