About this role
Public Relations Specialist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract), Media Relations & Issues team London, England, GBR Amazon is seeking a talented and driven Public Relations Specialist to support its busy in-house Press Office. You will be responsible for supporting the Media Relations team in daily administrative tasks, including acting as a first point of contact for journalists, managing and responding to inbound media contacts, writing and distributing press releases and statements, managing databases, compiling reports, and coordinating updates with colleagues. You will have the opportunity to work with our international PR teams and PR agencies, as well as build your media contacts book. The successful candidate will already possess a few years experience of either in-house or agency PR. Key job responsibilities - Managing UK press office inbox - and serving as first port of call for journalist queries. - Supporting Media Relations team on administrative tasks related to good functioning of the team. - Creating, updating and logging proactive communication materials and reactive statements. - Acting as a communications counsel to internal teams on short-term and long-term risks and opportunities. - Working closely with the Global Rapid Response Team (RRT) to route inbound media queries, flag emerging coverage and ensure company-wide communication on key issues. - Supporting PR Managers and working alongside PR agencies to develop and deliver corporate communications campaigns.
