About this role

Maintenance Technician - Night Shift Melbourne, Victoria, AUS Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our Fulfilment Center (FC) in Cranbourne. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You'll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime. This is a permanent night shift position. The shift pattern is based on business need, and rotates every 6 months from Wednesday to Saturday | Sunday to Wednesday (10 hour shifts, 4 days per week). This role is entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable. Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia Key job responsibilities Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness Follow and promote Health & Safety standards A day in the life Our RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You'll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to make sure it's working safely. As an RME Technician, you'll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You'll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
