About this role

Environmental Manager, Environmental Assurance Protection (EAP) Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, MEX The Environmental Manager (EM) is responsible for the environmental functions at the Amazon sites MTY1, MTY2, MTY3, and MTY9 in Apodaca, Ciénega de Flores and Escobedo, Nuevo León. The EM develops internal systems, standards and policies to comply with environmental regulatory requirements and provides guidance and training for operations, facilities, transportation, and maintenance teams. The EM proactively implements mechanisms to continuously improve environmental performance; establishes systems, monitors progress and guides multi-functional teams in the implementation of Amazon's environmental and sustainability standards. The EM will work with internal and external partners that include government entities, contractors, consultants, construction, operations and other key stakeholders Key job responsibilities Waste Management -Ensure the Waste and Donations Module (WADM Module) is properly followed up across all sites. -Ensure correct execution of Hazardous Waste Cage and Product Awaiting Determination (PAD) Area Inspections. -Ensure the annual external Hazardous Waste Management Training for Waste Coordinators (WC) and Site Environmental Coordinators (SEC). -Ensure Waste Training Records are properly followed up. -Ensure logbooks of hazardous and non-hazardous waste records are registered and maintained. -Ensure hazardous waste storage areas are placed according to environmental legal requirements. -Lead, coordinate, and supervise the activities of waste coordinators and assigned environmental functions at the sites. -When required, occasionally process and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste containers that may weigh up to a maximum of 20 kg. Ops Engagement -Attend and lead Daily Dive Deep meetings and Environmental Gemba Board reviews. -Conduct daily Environmental Dashboard
