Electromagnetic Effects (EMI/EMC) Test Engineer, Amazon Leo Redmond, Washington, USA Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We are looking for an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Test Engineer who will focus on compliance of avionics and payload/antenna subsystems for our low-earth-orbit satellite. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities • Working with hardware design teams as a subject matter expert in electromagnetic environmental effects testing throughout the development process • Completion of EMC test procedures by supporting teams with test configurations and performing testing to MIL-STD-461 and/or DO-160 requirements • Collaborating with Leo's harnessing team to develop analysis and mitigation strategies for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) in harnesses • Development and maintenance of EMC test software and report generation • Troubleshooting/Development investigation testing in conjunction with Avionics teams across Amazon Leo About the team The Amazon Leo Electrical Engineering team is responsible for architecture and development of satellite bus systems as well as working across payloads on design and development of complex communications systems.
