About this role

Datacenter Facility Manager, Data Center Engineering Operations Ludwigsfelde, Brandenburg, DEU AWS Infrastructure Operations owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. We are seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to serve as a technical resource and leader for our European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) team in the Berlin area. The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. The Data Center Facility Manager is crucial in maintaining high reliability and performance while also prioritizing safety. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment to achieve 99.999% uptime or better. Infrastructure under their management includes standby diesel generators and related fuel systems, electrical systems such as switchgear, UPS units, PDUs, batteries and associated systems. Mechanical equipment includes CRAC units and cooling systems. The role is also responsible for other building systems such as fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
