Data Engineer, Data Platform Management, Grocery Tech Foundations Austin, Texas, USA Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores-Grocery Tech Foundation team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives that support WWGS strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity for someone inspired by WWGS core values and is interested in Amazon's high-growth grocery business to bring their whole self to the role. Key job responsibilities - Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for custom-built reporting and analytical applications, ensuring business-as-usual operations and timely data delivery for business users. - Lead data integration, reporting, and analytics projects, leveraging experience in enterprise data engineering. - Understand business requirements, design and implement scalable data model, ETL processes and reporting to address business needs. - Design and build next-generation data infrastructure to replace existing third-party solutions. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Software Developers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers, and Program Managers. - Transform complex datasets into automated, digestible analytic deliverables. - Demonstrate strong organizational skills, decisiveness, and ownership while working in a team environment. - Drive significant impact through modernized design, architecture, and development of data products. - Contribute technical expertise to help transition the organization from legacy solutions to future-state data infrastructure. - Partner with data engineering team members to deliver on strategic vision and objectives.
