About this role

Data Center Infrastructure Engineer Intern Sydney, New South Wales, AUS We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Data Center Infrastructure Design Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing and developing critical infrastructure systems that power some of the world's largest hyperscale data center facilities. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, documentation, and optimization of data center infrastructure across owned, leased, and colocation facilities. What You'll Learn - Hyperscale data center design principles and best practices - Infrastructure design lifecycle from concept through construction - Cross-discipline coordination and integration strategies - Industry standards and compliance frameworks for critical facilities - Project management fundamentals for large-scale infrastructure programs - How design decisions impact operational efficiency at scale Key job responsibilities Assist in the development of data center infrastructure design packages including electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil disciplines Support the creation and maintenance of design standards, templates, and reference architectures Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (controls, ICT, security, fire protection) to identify and resolve discipline overlap and coordination issues Participate in design reviews and contribute to quality assurance processes Help develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations Assist with capacity planning analysis and infrastructure optimization studies Support project tracking and reporting across multiple concurrent design projects Research emerging technologies, materials, and best practices in data center infrastructure design A day in the life 0 Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in
