About this role
Controls System Engineer, AMZL JP Engineering Tokyo, JPN The Japan Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is seeking a Control Systems Engineer who is experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed to lead the development of control systems for Material Handling Equipment. In this position, you will not only improve the capabilities and quality of existing control systems for mechanical equipment but also implement control systems for newly introduced equipment in collaboration with domestic and international partners, ensuring stable operations. These control systems include network-connected components, and the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of both implementation and post-implementation issues. This includes conducting data analysis when problems occur, collaborating with stakeholder departments including overseas partner teams, and consistently working to deliver high-quality systems. % of Time: Description of essential functions 40%: Project management, specification development, implementation, and troubleshooting of control systems for new mechanical equipment 20%: Improvement analysis, project management, implementation, and troubleshooting of existing mechanical control systems 20%: Research, evaluation, and implementation of new control technologies 20%: Collaboration with domestic and international teams for project execution, standardization, and development/deployment of best practices About the team More Information (Japanese Only) ・Department: Last Mile(AMZL) ・Job:Engineer ・Location:Tokyo Office ・Voice of employee - Last Mile(AMZL) department Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience - Bachelor's degree - 4+ years of PLC programming experience - 2+ years of PLC/SCADA integration experience - Business Level of both English and Japanese Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge
