About this role
Communications Specialist, International Stores & Corporate Communications Toronto, Ontario, CAN Amazon is seeking a high-judgment, strategic and creative communications professional to join our International Stores and Corporate Communications Team in Canada. This role will be based at Amazon's Toronto Tech Hub, with frequent travel within Canada and some international travel. The International Stores and Corporate Communications team is at the forefront of building and protecting Amazon's reputation, communicating stories that showcase how Amazon creates a positive impact for customers across Canada through services like Amazon Prime; creates opportunities for employees; invests in the economy; and contributes to local communities across the country. This role will also support the Amazon Ads business in Canada, leading storytelling about how the business delivers comprehensive full-funnel advertising at scale through AI innovation, extensive streaming reach through Prime Video and Live Sports, and advanced advertising technology that serves businesses ranging from small and medium enterprises to global brands. As a PR Specialist, you will help manage proactive, positive, earned, external storytelling across Canada. This role supports the team's proactive public relations plans by building stakeholder relationships; leading earned, paid, social and owned media strategies; planning experiential events; and managing reactive issues. You must have a strong track record in consumer, corporate, and/or B2B public relations, ideally in an agency setting or in house in a media-facing role, with knowledge of local reporters, content creators, stakeholders, and community leaders and a proven track record of building strong external relationships.
